Judge Judith E. Levy
BiographyJudith E. Levy was commissioned by President Barack Obama on March 14, 2014, to serve as a United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Michigan. She previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Michigan from 2000-2014, and as Chief of the Civil Rights Unit in that office from 2010-2014. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Michigan from 2002-2019. Judge Levy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1981, and her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1996. She served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Bernard A. Friedman from 1996-1999. Documents related to the Flint Water Cases. Opinions
