The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan will be upgrading its CM/ECF software to the Next Generation (NextGen) of CM/ECF in the upcoming months. The Court will go live with NextGen on February 24th, 2020.

The NextGen system will provide users with the ability to maintain a single login and password for electronic filing and PACER access in all federal courts (Bankruptcy, District, and Appellate). This central sign-on feature allows access to all courts in which you have permission to file.*

In order to prepare for NextGen, you must complete the preliminary steps outlined in the "Are you Ready for NextGen - CM/ECF?" information quiz.

* Note: You will continue to use your CM/ECF login and password to electronically file in CM/ECF courts which have not completed the transition to NextGen. To see a list of those courts currently using NextGen CM/ECF, click here. Eventually, NextGen CM/ECF will be instituted in all federal courts (Bankruptcy, District, and Appellate).
