AccommodationsThe United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (Court) shall provide, at judiciary expense, sign language interpreters or other appropriate auxiliary aids and services to participants in federal court proceedings who are deaf, hearing impaired or have other communications disabilities. Communications disabilities may include voice and speech problems, developmental disabilities, cognition difficulties, learning disorders, autism, brain injury, cerebral palsy, and stroke injuries that impair the exchange of information including voice, sounds, nonverbal, print, and electronic and information technology. The Court has designated Michael Kregear, Chief Deputy of Administration as the Access Coordinator and he is responsible for processing requests for accommodations for communications disabilities for court proceedings.
