Removal
Generally, if questions exist as to the propriety of removal, the Court will issue an order to show cause. The Court decides whether to hold oral argument on motions to remand on a case-by-case basis. Counsel should be aware of this Court's Opinion Regarding $50,000 Amount in Controversy, Garza v. Bettcher Industries, Inc., 752 F. Supp. 753, 1990 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 16851 (E.D. Mich. 1990).
