Clerk's Office

The Clerk of Court is an officer appointed by the court to work with the chief judge and other judges in overseeing the court's administration, especially managing the flow of cases through the court. The Clerk of Court and Clerk's Office staff play many vital roles; they're sometimes referred to as the nerve center of the court. The Clerk's Office is usually the first stop when a person visits the court for the first time -- it is the place where cases are opened and additional case pleadings are filed. The Clerk's Office is also the source of public information, including information about cases currently before the court. Each divisional office has a Clerk's Office with the exception of Port Huron. Below are various links with more information about the Clerk's Office.
