MEDIA ACCOUNT CM/ECF APPLICATION

Complete the form below to apply for a read-only media account for the Eastern District of Michigan. In addition to standard PACER functionality, this account will allow the user to add and remove case numbers for which the user wants to receive notification of case filings. Individuals whose applications are granted will be sent instructions on how to register for media access using their PACER account.

The media account is offered as a service and convenience. The Court cannot guarantee anything regarding the media account. This includes, but is not limited to, failure of delivery, timeliness or accuracy of emails, activity docketed late or activity not in the CM/ECF system. The Court reserves the right to grant, deny or withdraw access to the system at any time.

NOTE

This account will not allow a user to:

  • E-file in a case
  • View sealed documents or cases
  • View documents restricted to public terminals, such as Social Security and immigration cases (per Judicial Conference policy)
  • View media files that are made part of the record (because they are not stored in CM/ECF)
