Postponements and Excuses
Requests for a postponement or excuse must be made in writing. Include a statement of facts relating to the hardship and the earliest date you can serve. Medical excuses require a statement from your doctor, with an explanation as to why you cannot serve. Students must provide a letter from their school registrar. Mail or fax your request as soon as possible to the office shown above.

Where to Report
Report to the Jury Assembly Room in the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. The Courthouse is located on West Lafayette between Shelby and Washington Boulevard.
Parking
You may park in any of the surrounding public parking facilities. When appearing for jury service, you will be responsible for paying your parking fee. Parking rates vary depending on where you choose to park. You will be reimbursed $8.00 per day for parking, however it will be included in your check for attendance which will be mailed to you approximately two weeks after your attendance.
