*Scam Alert* - Callers Being Directed to Make Payments to Resolve Warrants at a U.S. District Courthouse

The Court’s Help Desk has received calls from callers stating that they have been advised, by their local sheriff’s office, that they have an outstanding warrant and must report to a federal courthouse in the Eastern District to make a payment to resolve the warrant.
Please be advised:
- That the Court does not require payment to resolve warrants.
- Local sheriff offices do not work for the Court in issuing federal criminal arrest warrants.
- Do not report to the provided address without confirming with their local law enforcement agency or the Court at (313) 234-5000.
- If there is a question about possible pending charges, they should contact the U.S. Attorney’s office at (313) 226-9100.
